Krysta directed this site-specific immersive interpretation of Oscar Wilde’s razor sharp comedy An Ideal Husband for NorthEast Theatre Ensemble at Ten Broeck Mansion. The environmental production took place in various spaces through-out the mansion, and audiences were invited by liveried staff to move around, enjoy cocktails and a party at the Chiltern’s home. Husband dealt with questions that are remarkably relevant to today’s audiences; in an era in which questions often arise about whether someone should be punished for the crimes of their youth, Robert Chiltern’s dilemma is an interesting one to explore.
