Is Turn of the Screw a tale of children possessed by ghosts, or as Edmund Wilson suggests, ‘a study in morbid psychology’? A young governess descending into madness, a disturbing tale of abuse, or a simple ghost story? Directing for Creative License, Krysta explored these themes in Jeffrey Hatcher’s adaptation of Henry James’ story for the stage. In this production,  Ten Broeck Mansion took on the role of the Gothic manor house Bly. The collaboration between Discover Albany's Literary Legacies program and Creative License provide a unique opportunity to enjoy the work of Henry James, and to explore his connection with the Capital Region.
