Votes for Women is an immersive, promenade performance about the women’s suffrage movement in the United States. Dennis wrote and directed the production, which was performed by a company of Siena College students and professional actors. Votes was performed at Siena College and at Ten Broeck Mansion in March 2017, and in collaboration with the Sand Lake Arts Center at the House on the Hill at Arts, Letters, and Numbers October 12-14, 2017. The performance allows audience members to engage with significant moments in the American woman suffrage movement in various spaces in the buildings in which it has been performed, with the most recent performance live-streamed online. Selections from Votes for Women were performed at the New York State Attorney General’s Office in March of 2018 to commemorate the centennial of women’s right to vote in New York State.
